the Toronto premiere of Debbie Does Dallas, the 2002 hit Off-Broadway musical.
Book by Susan L. Schwartz Music/Lyrics by Andrew Sherman, Tom Kitt, Jonathan Callicutt
Debbie Does Dallas is a tongue-in-cheek comedic adaptation of the 1978 adult film of the same name. The story follows a young Debbie Benton in her struggle to get out of small town America and make it as a Texas Cowgirl Cheerleader in the big city of Dallas. What follows is a coming of age story of a bunch of small-town, mid-American high school teenagers. As they all seek their version of the American Dream, they discover what fulfillment will really cost them and whether or not it?s a price worth paying.
