Director Terry Costa joins forces with Musical Director and pianist Karen Lee-Morlang, the voices of Andrea Hector and Megan Morrison, to transport you to different times and places with MARLENE CABARET. Join us in reveling over Lili Marleen and Lola Lola while stepping into La Vie en Rose and Falling in Love Again with many more great musical choices, made classic by the one and only Marlene Dietrich.
A diverse and passionate performer, Megan Morrison has enjoyed working with numerous local opera and theatre companies, most recently with Vancouver Opera, Felix Culpa, City Opera, Patrick Street Productions, and Burnaby Lyric Opera. In 2009 alone Megan found herself as on stage as gypsy, a Drummer Girl, a witch, and a nun. Given her life-long love of cabaret music, Megan is thrilled to have the opportunity to now release her inner Marlene!
Andréa Hector - singer, composer, musician, performer, has had her talent acknowledged throughout North America. Beginning on piano at the age of 3, she blossomed into bass in her 20?s, and established her mark as an accomplished vocalist for many genres of projects. She is also a film and television composer. Now, she lends her voice to some of the mature songs that Marlene made famous.
Karen Lee-Morlang is a performer, educator and impresario; Karen is "funny, brainy and creative." Well-loved and remembered for her boisterous and charming personality as well as her brilliant programming, Karen has become particularly well-known in B.C. communities for her collaborative skills at the piano and for championing art music for new audiences.
