Vocal jazz legend Sheila Jordan returns to Toronto to perform an intimate Valentine's Day concert at Chalkers Pub, 247 Marlee Ave. Tickets are *$25 each per show with first seating from 2-4pm then from 6-8pm. Seating is limited so be sure to buy your tickets in advance.

Sheila is also conducting a workshop on Sun, Feb 15, 2009 from 1-5pm at Art of Jazz Studio, 55 Mill St, Studio 202. Workshop tickets are *$60 for participants and *$30 for audience (observer) seating.

Vocalist Sheila Jordan is one of jazz music's most treasured living legends.
This is her first visit to Toronto since turning 80 and is hot on the heels of her recent live Montreal recording titled "Winter Sunshine".

Now 80 years young, the singer shows no signs of slowing down her schedule as a performer, recording artist, educator and jazz ambassador. Since her groundbreaking debut album Portait of Sheila (1962) on Bluenote Records, the artist has released over twenty recordings and toured the world many times over. Miss Jordan is a recent recipient of numerous prestigious awards, including the Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs Lifetime Achievement Award (2006), the International Association of Jazz Educators Humanitarian Award (2007) and the Mary Lou Williams Women in Jazz for Lifetime of Service Award (2008).

Sheila will be joined by Toronto jazz virtuosi: Dave Restivo on piano and Don Thompson on bass.
