Vancouver’s Hotel Mira is the continued project of JPNSGRLS fronted just the same by mastermind Charlie Kerr. The singer and his bandmates—guitarist Colton Lauro and bassist Mike Noble—have taken the sound that the original lineup had made their name on out of the garage and into a considerably lusher musical landscape. With debut single "3 AM Lullaby" (out April 6) showcasing this first-hand, Hotel Mira is poised to take the foundation built under the former name as a SiriusXM Emerging Artist of the Year and international touring artist playing with acts such as The Heavy and Foals and progress even further.
MAJOR LOVE is the moniker of Canadian songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Colleen Brown - and a new album featuring members of Scenic Route To Alaska, Jesse and the Dandelions, Elijah Abrams (Oh Susanna), Brian Moyer & Aaron Goldstein (Daniel Romano). From Edmonton, Alberta by way of Kingston, Ontario, they make soulful pop-rock music for their hoser friends.
In a London (UK) bar, 7000 kms from home, a bond was born between she and the boys of Scenic Route To Alaska. Drawing equally on 1960's Motown and soulful synth-rock anthems, an album was tracked a month later during a summer heatwave, with Jesse (and the Dandelions) Northey on keys and faders, eventually adding multi-instrumental-mainstay Elijah Abrams (The Abrams Brothers, Oh Susanna) with mixes by Aaron Goldstein and Kenneth Meehan, and the singalong single 'So Good' by prodigious hit-makers Gus Van Go and Werner F.
These songs thrive at the intersection between Brown’s resonant vocal expression and SRTA’s spirited swagger. The eponymous debut album will be released on Cowboy Junkies' label Latent Recordings (Warner) on Aug 17, 2018. The first single 'Tear It Down' is in rotation on CBC Radio 3 and reached #4 on the CBC Radio 2 Top 20. They were also chosen as a Sonic 102.9 Spotlight Artist.
PARASONA: the combination of latin words "Parabellum" (prepare for war) and "Potensona" (powerful music).
A passionate alternative rock band from Toronto, Canada. Parasona works to share their creativity with the world with powerful guitar, big drums and unique vocals that will provoke you to feel again. The band consists of Adam Lancia (Vocals, Guitar) and Joshua Golias (Drums, Beard).
Accepted to The Artist Entrepreneur program, Canadian music/ management label Coalition Music helped progress the band immensely. Thats where they performed in front of renown producer Arnold Lanni. Arnold took a keen liking to Adam's unique voice and the pair started working right away on their debut single "Fall Down". Parasona travelled down to California where the single was recorded. Working together with Arnold Lanni, Parasona’s song writing and overall vision has evolved. A great song has to resonate and connect with a listener and make the listener feel ‘something’. The listener has to be ‘affected’ in some way and that is what Parasona strives for in their instrumentals and especially in the unique vocals. The band is now working on their new EP with Steve Molella of Finger Eleven.
