The story follows Aoto and Yoko, two people who once shared first love in middle school who cross paths again many years later. Aoto is divorced and returns to his hometown, settling into a new job and a quiet routine. Yoko, who has lost her husband, now supports herself with part-time jobs. Both now living alone and shaped by the ups and downs of life, they quickly reconnect and begin gently filling in the long gap since their school days. As their feelings rekindle naturally, they eventually begin to speak about a future together. But fate may have other ideas...

Adapted from Kasumi Asakura’s award-winning novel, it is a delicate and quietly devastating portrayal of cautious emotion, hope and second chances.

Starring
Masato Sakai, Haruka Igawa
