Opening Night Reception (Start 6:30pm) : Director Hideki Takeuchi in Attendance

The director of Thermae Romae and Fly Me to Saitama introduces the "smallest" heroes in movie history... The blood cells! The body contains 37 trillion of these tiny fighters.

Niko is a high school student with a healthy lifestyle; therefore, the cells in her body are always working happily. However, her beloved father Shigeru lives an erratic, unhealthy lifestyle, steadily breaking down the morale of his blood cells. Father and daughter are close and live a lively daily life; however, the bacteria that are trying to invade their bodies begin to move... The greatest battle in history is about to take place inside the human body, with the future of the Urushizaki family at stake! Fast paced, endlessly inventive and ultimately quite moving, the film is a perfect transfer of manga to live-action!
