Having already independently released two full length albums by the age of 25, Jody Glenham found her footing in 2014 with the ‘Dreamer EP’. Recorded in California by Raymond Richards (Local Natives, Avid Dancer), the Mazzy Star styled album featured morphine dripped soundscapes and dusty desert guitars, mixed with melancholic harmonies and haze.
The EP held #1 locally on Vancouver's CiTR 101.9 FM radio charts. It’s leading single - 'Between You and Me' was featured in Nick Citton's VIFF premiered film ' My Good Man's Gone' and songs off the EP were debuted on KEXP in the USA.
In 2015, Jody followed up the Dreamer EP with a limited edition 7 inch - ‘For Frances’. Recorded with her backing band, The Dreamers, the dark and moody vinyl was released via Kingfisher Bluez. This release led to collaborations with Vancouver photographer/filmmaker Megan Magdalena, as well as celebrated shoe maker, John Fluevog, naming a shoe after her simply called ‘The Glenham’.
Most recently Jody Glenham released a collection of songs previously only available on vinyl via bandcamp. ‘TEASER’ also features the brand-new spooky tale ‘Right Thru My Heart’, telling the story of a witch guilty of all of which she is accused.
Jody has shared the stage with Dean Wareham (Luna, Galaxie 500), Concrete Blonde and Christopher Owens (Girls) and showcased last year as an independent artist at SXSW in Austin, Texas. Jody also works as a side musician for many Vancouver mainstay acts, most notably being Polaris nominated artist, Louise Burns.
Hey Guys! We are FXRRVST (pronounced ‘forest’), an indie alternative duo based in Toronto. Our names are Holly Forrest and Matthew Fuentes. We met in August of 2015 and have been playing music together ever since. We strive to be a charitable and environmentally conscious band, doing all we can to give back. All our merchandise (including our CDs) are eco-friendly and part of the cost goes to different local and international charities. Since day one, we’ve understood that if we ever became a successful band, it was because of others. So its only fair that we share our success with everyone and help those who really need it. Hope you like our music and thanks for the support.
