Born 1962 in Tokyo. Sound Creator / DJ KRUSH’s superb sense in mixing and composing sound has been greatly received in the international club scene. He gains attention by using turntable as musical instrument and has played with renowned jazz artists. He is known to be the Japanese artist whose music has been listened to the most globally. He has started to work on his anticipated solo album this year.

SOLO WORK Starting with his debut album KRUSH released in 1994, he has released 8 solo albums, 4 remix albums, and 3 mix albums worldwide. All of the albums have been ranked in the top of various music charts in and outside Japan. His 6th ALBUM ZEN was awarded the Best Electronica Album in 2002 AIFM Awards. 8th ALBUM JAKU topped the RPM chart of CMJ for 3 weeks in a row. He has released a digital album to celebrate KRUSH’s 20h anniversary.

PRODUCTION / REMIX WORK Has remixed works of numerous Grammy winning artists such as Herbie Hancock, k.d. lang, Ronnie Jordan, etc. Also remixed and provided works of artists like Miles Davis, Black Thought, Galliano, Pete Rock, Cold Cut, etc.

TOUR/SHOW KRUSH has performed at over 200 festivals worldwide such as Glastonbury (UK), Coachella (USA), Monterey Jazz Festival (Swiss), Sonar (Spain), Roskilde (Denmark), etc. He has performed in front of over 8 million audiences at 350 cities of 52 countries. He is currently doing world tour in over 30 places a year.
