In Ehime, Mitsuhigashi High School is holding a class-wide rowing competition. Everyone is competing with all their might, but second-year student Etsuko seems disinterested. “What’s the point of trying hard when you don’t have talent?” But when transfer student Riina arrives, she decides to revive the struggling team with the help of Etsuko and her friend Hime. The new 5-girl team thrives and reluctantly decides to participate in their first tournament. Trouble raises its head on the day of the race but just when everyone is about to give up, Etsuko grips the oars again. "I want to get better," she says, and the five of them become one in spirit!
