Captivated by the immense power of music since she was young, Kandle devoted herself ruthlessly to playing and creating it; first as a teenager learning Nirvana songs in the cafeteria and then eventually as a young woman, teaching herself to sing. Eventually, enveloped by the endlessly innovative and supportive Montreal music scene, she released her first full-length, In Flames, to critical acclaim.
Her music speaks to the loners and the forgotten, navigating the less-travelled corners of sound and feeling bold, uncompromising vision.
Her music provides a light for the lost - ablaze and raging, illuminating the places angles fear to tread.
The electrifying riff that kicks off Shade's upcoming debut full-length blossoms into a vicious, overdriven squall, revealing the band’s modus operandi—a dark and doomy rock ‘n’ roll swagger that confirms guitar music is, in fact, very much alive.
Sunshine & the Blue Moon choose to experiment not only with sound, but mood as well, expanding their aural landscape beyond common signifiers. Blending influences and ideas from across genres and eras spanning from early blues, folk and country, to 60's rock and soul, through eclectic 90's grooves. One listen may place you on a rural road with your sweetheart, feeling the summer breeze as it rolls through the trembling leaves. While another might place you in a pulsing dream wanting nothing more than to escape the hot city streets, to shake and dance the through the night.
Framed from within the relentless heatwave of Atlanta, Georgia, Omni cuts through the oppressive humidity of the gilded southern capital with a cool and breezy combo of lo-fi nonchalance. In paying homage to post-punk forebears like Pylon, Wire and Devo, Omni delivers a succinct and focused sound on their 2016 debut. Strung taut with wiry guitar and incisive rhythms, their approach is not without plenty of sneaky, danceable melodies to round off the hard angles. Indeed, 'Deluxe' represents a mission statement to cruise a steady though lavish wave of disenchantment like it’s 1979.
