Time: 9pm
Location: Hosaki Room, JCCC
Cost: $40 + HST, session limited to 25 participants

Explore printmaking at the JCCC! As part of Nuit Blanche 2024, the JCCC will be hosting a linocut workshop!

Our vibrant fall exhibit, Spirit Place: The Magnificent Woodcut Art of Naoko Matsubara will be on view, exploring themes of nature, spirituality, and place.

If you’re itching to try printmaking yourself, dive deeper into the practice by making your own linocut! Linocut is a type of woodcut printmaking where a sheet of linoleum is used instead of a block of wood.  Local artist Caitlin Chan will guide participants through the process of creating their own linocuts and prints during this 1.5 hour workshop.

All materials are provided and participants get to keep their chisel tools and relief carving.

Pre-registration for the linocut workshop is highly recommended. Limited spots will be available for purchase on-site through cash only.

Registration is available through TicketWeb only.
