For the fourth show in their season of comedy, Outside Joke is teaming up with Shakespeare In The Ruins for a very exciting, first-time collaboration, pairing the classic and heavily structured works of William Shakespeare with the young and spontaneous form of improvisation. Weaving together scenes and soliloquys from Shakespeare’s classics, singing songs created from the text – something Shakespeare in the Ruins is known for – concluding with an improvised musical using well-loved tropes of the Bard to shape our story.
OUTSIDE JOKE is a six member company from Winnipeg, Manitoba who perform a completely improvised musical. "One suggestions, one story - with harmonies!" (Kelly Stifora, CBC).
