Joan Smith & the Jane Does present music of QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE
Joan Smith & the Jane Does are carving a distinct place in Canada’s alt-rock scene. Their debut album Do Me Some Harm (2023), produced by guitarist Tom Juhas and mixed by Alain Johannes (Queens of the Stone Age, Them Crooked Vultures), showcases a raw, hard-hitting sound praised for its authenticity.
Fronted by Joan Smith—“towering pipes and a remarkable dirty guitar tone” (torontomusicreviews.com)—the band delivers relentless riffs and cutting vocals that Jeff Woods compares to “Queens of the Stone Age and Stevie Nicks.” Their single Pull featured in the premiere of ABC’s Rebel, leading to international sync opportunities, while their cover of the Pointer Sisters’ Neutron Dance appeared on Cartridge Heart’s Go Kick-Ass:2 compilation.
With national radio play, international playlisting, and three U.S. tours since 2023, the Jane Does are pushing forward with global momentum. They toured the UK in September 2025, including a support slot at Sonic Boom Festival alongside The Bug Club and Seb Lowe.
