MONSTROSA is an all-girl alternative metal band from Toronto. Their unique combination of metal guitar riffs and melodic vocals creates a sound that is simultaneously heavy and danceable. Guitar harmonies drive their queer, women empowering rock anthems such as ‘All Hail’ and ‘Axes’ while their heaviness takes a darker tone in songs like ‘Diagnosis’ and ‘Hollow’ that tackle issues of homophobia and mental health stigma. Monstrosa's self-titled debut album was released in May of 2020 and is out on all streaming platforms, and the band is set to release their second full length album this fall. Monstrosa is Lauren Pryce (lead vocals, guitar), Emma Embur (guitar), Shannon Fischer (bass guitar, vocals), and Meghan Gallant (drums).

Takaayla - Redefining the pop genre with edgy rock undertones and haunting vocals, Takaayla’s sound is anything but easy to describe. Born in Toronto, Canada in 2000, Takaayla has a fearless determination to create music that breaks boundaries and inspires listeners. The Canadian singer/songwriter has scored gigs such as NXNE, breaking sound Canada and pride Toronto queer events where she is very open about women empowerment and her queerness. BuzzmusicLA quotes' ' Takaayla becomes a voice of respect, sending a message to those who want to cross a line on other people's bodies and minds.
Kingdom of Birds is the trashy, pumped up and equally sultry post-punk band that has been a Toronto staple since their formation. The band is made up of three heavy hitters, Asa, front-woman and guitarist, a Tim Burton character dipped in glitter and charisma who thrashes and jumps around like she's won a prize hog at a state fair. She plays her guitar like an old woman slicing butter: smooth but forceful. Annabel is the solid underbelly of the band's sound, who makes bass riffs so good your heart will beat in 5/4 time. Bea’s wild and wondrously exact drumming is deliberate, and unabashedly fun. Fun fact: Jim Henson based Animal on Bea’s drumming style.
Power Walk are a 4-piece pop punk band from Toronto, Ontario. Unapologetically queer, their songs have that classic pop punk sound with totally queer themes - girl crushes, the L Word, astrology, wearing docs in the summer, you name it, if it’s gay, they’re singing about it.
