Join us for an intimate evening of author dialogue benefitting the Cancer Research Society and proudly presented by:

Penguin Random House Canada

Each participant will receive a copy of the three authors’ books, courtesy of Penguin Random House of Canada Ltd.  Participants can choose to either pick up their books at the event or have them shipped in advance (deadline for advanced delivery: August 3, 2018). Please note that the book by Colm Tóibín will not be available for advanced delivery, you will have his new book the night of the event.

Participants purchasing tickets after August 3 will have to pick up their books at the venue.

    SHARON BALA Sharon was born in Dubai, raised in the 905, and now lives in St. John's, Newfoundland. She is a member of The Port Authority writing group. The Boat People is her first novel. The manuscript won the Percy Janes First Novel Award (May 2015) and was short listed for the Fresh Fish Award (October 2015). In 2017, she won the Journey Prize.

The "Reserved Seating" tickets guarantees priority seating at the event. We recommend purchasing “reserved seating” tickets to any group of four to ten wishing to be seated together.

By purchasing "General Admission" ticket, your position in the room is not pre-established. Therefore, we suggest that you arrive early to choose your seat among those available.

Author line-ups and complimentary books may be subject to change in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

Tickets and books are handled separately. Mail/Courier tickets will be sent to you directly from TicketWeb Canada. Will Call tickets will be held at the venue for pick up on the night of the event.

All participants who select "Pick up books at event" tickets will be able to pick them up when they arrive at the event.

Until August 3, you can have your books shipped to you by paying an additional shipping fee of $10. Books will be mailed from Penguin Random House to the credit card billing address you provide when you complete your order. Your credit card billing address must match where your credit card statements are sent or your order will not go through. Books will be mailed to you by the beginning of September.
