The Samuel MurrellCole Jazz Sextet 

The Samuel MurrellCole Sextet, led by Samuel aka Samuel M-C, is comprised of a group of extraordinarily talented young  jazz musicians, currently are in, or are graduates from, the Desaultes Faculty of Music at the University of Manitoba. Together they excel in bringing vibrancy and passion to audiences. From jazz standards to jazz fusion sprinkled with blues and eclectic jazz creations, their talent has shone when they have shared the stage with each other in a variety of concerts in Winnipeg. This dynamic sextet is led by Samuel who is a prolific music writer and composer. 

Samuel is a versatile musician specializing in the tenor saxophone though he also plays clarinet, piano, guitar and bass. Samuel has performed in the MusicFest Canada 2023 Nationals playing with the Conn Selmer Centerstage Jazz Band. He held his first successful jazz concert at age 17. He is also an accomplished recording artist with music that spans several genres. His “Live Again” Album features one of his own jazz compositions; “Intimacy”. Samuel lives and breathes music and jazz and his sextet is cast in the same mold!
