TANYA STEPHENS (backed by Natural Flavas)
Tanya Stephens is reggae and dancehall royalty. Her Kingston roots shine as she has dominated the charts with a sound that is passionate and authentic. Stephens has collaborated with such dancehall greats as Shabba Ranks, Bounty Killer, Lady Saw, and Marcia Griffiths, all while staying true to her music and herself by creating a positive environment for women in music and encourage female artists to develop their sound. Her socially conscious and political lyrics have earned her fans around worldwide. We are proud to have her at the Victoria Ska Festival.


BLITZ THE AMBASSADOR
Blitz is a Ghanaian-born and Brooklyn-based hip-hop artist that has been pushing musical boundaries all over the world. His love for the genre started after hearing Public Enemy’s “It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold us Back”. in 2000 he received the award for best new artist at the Ghana Music Awards. In 2001 he moved to the the USA to attend university. He has since performed in major international music festivals and continues to push hip-hop into new and dynamic directions.


ELAINE SHEPHERD
Elaine “Lil’ bit” Shepherd is a Bahraini born reggae and dancehall vocalist who now resides in Vancouver, BC. She was nominated for a JUNO award in 2013 for her album “Move Ya” and has previously won the JUNO for Reggae Recording of the Year for her hit track “Likkle but me Tallawah.” Shepherd has also received received awards from the WCRMA and RMAA. Her music is bold and uncompromising, making her a Canadian icon to watch.
