    Ace of Wands formed around Lee Rose in 2017 to reflect a life-altering period of mental illness. Surreal and beautiful, Ace of Wands creates immersive and intricate soundscapes to explore the meaning of Dream Rock. From the tension and dread of a nightmare to the effortless freedom of lucid dreaming, Ace of Wands compels audiences to listen with attention, not shy away from the dreams that may reveal hidden parts of themselves.

     

    Since 2017, Ace of Wands has toured across Canada and the US, captivating audiences with explosive live performances. At the core of the band, multi-instrumentalist Lee Rose sings, plays violin/guitar and synth-bass foot pedals simultaneously while Anna Mernieks and Jody Brumell accompany her on swirling guitar and thunderous drums. Their instrumentation, soaring vocals, and commitment to artistically-driven visual elements explore the depths of overwhelming emotion and transcend typical pop and rock forms.

    Ace of Wands’ sophomore LP ‘Desiring’ will be released on March 31, 2023 via Fortune Stellar Records with their Toronto Record Release show on March 30th at The Velvet Underground.

    Mad Ones have been cranking out real, raw, heart and soul rock, garage, punk for little over a decade. Their catchy songs and sweaty, unhinged shows have earned them the devotion of fans all over the world, lasting friendships and support from a good number of iconic artists. New single “What it Takes” arrives in March 2023 with spring dates throughout Canada and the release of a special live stream taped at The Tragically Hip’s legendary Bath House Studio.
     
    The new line up of Andrew DeVillers, Russ Fernandes and Jesse L. Bellon toured Europe in fall 2022 in support of “Hydra Head” 7” (2022 Fortune Stellar Records) and Mad Ones 4th LP “Last Forever” (2021). Mad Ones albums have featured guest appearances from members of The Sadies, Constantines, By Divine Right and HotKid. The band has performed with the likes of The OBGMs, Teenage Head, PUP, Rusty, Tommy Stinson, The Dirty Nil and so many more.

    ZINNIA is an experiment in explosive pop writing that hits right in the bone marrow. While ZINNIA's debut album Sensations in Two Dot (2019) sought to find compassion within doubt through an immersive, synth-based experience that earned its way onto CBC's "Best Lyrics of 2019" list, things have evolved in more of a divorce anthem, rebound rager sort of direction. Salt, sequins, guts and glory. Lately, it's all about catharsis and it's surprisingly fun.
