Black Milk is a critically acclaimed rapper, producer, and songwriter from Detroit, Michigan, known for his sharp lyricism, soulful production style, and innovative blend of hip-hop, jazz, funk, and electronic music. Emerging in the early 2000s as part of Detroit’s rich underground hip-hop scene, Black Milk first gained recognition through collaborations with Slum Village and later established himself as a standout solo artist.
Over the course of his career, Black Milk has released acclaimed projects including Popular Demand, Album of the Year, No Poison No Paradise, and FEVER, earning praise for both his technical production skills and introspective songwriting. His music often combines hard-hitting drums, live instrumentation, and socially conscious themes while pushing the boundaries of modern hip-hop.
In addition to his solo work, Black Milk has collaborated with respected artists such as Royce da 5'9", Danny Brown, and Robert Glasper.
