Guest Chef: Michael Hunter Michael Hunter is a professionally trained chef, restaurateur, hunter, angler, forager and bestselling cookbook author. He is the author of "The Hunter Chef Cookbook" and "Hunter Chef in the Wild", two books inspired by his lifelong connection to wild food, hunting, fishing, foraging and cooking over fire.A Red Seal chef and honours graduate of Humber College’s culinary apprenticeship program, Michael began working in kitchens at age thirteen and went on to work alongside some of Canada’s leading chefs. In 2015, he opened Toronto’s Antler Kitchen & Bar with business partner Jody Shapiro, creating a restaurant built around Canadian ingredients, wild game, wild fish and seafood, foraged foods and a deep respect for where food comes from. Antler has earned national acclaim and has been recognized by the Michelin Guide since 2022.
