Vancouver-based heavy rock mercenaries DEAD QUIET share their new single, “High Roads”, and announce pre-orders for their upcoming album, “IV” – out June 9th via Artoffact Records! The album is available on limited edition clear vinyl, CD, and digital configurations.
“IV” will follow September 2020’s “Truth and Ruin”, which was a favourite of Exclaim! Magazine, Beatroute, V13, and more – reaching #1 on the National Canadian Campus Radio (Loud) and also being featured on CBC Rock Canada.
On the album, Keegan says “This, our 4th album, feels like the most fully explored of any of them. We really arranged everything as a group and it has the most character because of that. It’s definitely an adventure.”

Born in the dive bars and alleyways of East Vancouver, BRASS is a punk/hard core band infamous for their energetic and sweat-soaked shows fueled by shout along anthems and heavy hitting riffs.
While growing a following around Western Canada for their chaotic shows at house parties, skate parks and dive bars, BRASS has opened for IDLES, H09909, Pissed Jeans, Fucked Up, Single Mothers, Touche Amore, culminating with a short run with Canadian punks PUP. After several Canadian tours of their own and numerous festival appearances BRASS eventually brought their raucous live show overseas for a month-long European tour in 2017.
Like countless other bands, when the pandemic hit BRASS had to sink or swim. Rather than taking a hiatus during the lockdown, BRASS went to work, adding new members Kennedy Pawluk and Zach Mouallem and recording a new record, chalk full of all the catchy rage and infectious hooks fans have come to expect.
The 5-piece punk outfit are set to release their 3rd studio album Look on the Bright Side this fall (Nov 4th) with Early Onset Records. Look on the Bright Side reflects on the chaotic and often dark state of the world we currently live with lyrical themes that explore the tumultuous nature of our neighbours to the south, toxic masculinity and acknowledging one’s privilege. Though as the name suggests, there’s bright spots in our lives and hope to hold on to.
BRASS’ previous records “No Soap Radio” & “For Everyone” received widespread praise when released, “No Soap Radio” even being named Album of the Year by local publication BeatRoute.
With new members, a bigger sound and a renewed chip on their shoulders, BRASS are back and ready to make you dance again.
