Chinese Medicine
Punk
Chinese Medicine is a BIPOC/Trans-fronted post-punk band hailing from Toronto, ON. Blending punk, 80s new wave, and a heavy pour of queercore, Chinese Medicine provides a sound bursting at the seams with fury and grit. Their sound “...is urgent, commanding and impassioned” - CBC MusicTheir debut EP Die Aspora was produced by Wade MacNeil (Alexisonfire) and recorded by Ian Romano (City & Colour, Attack in Black). Their upcoming EP, The Trans Agenda, doubles down on their uncompromising ethos, thrashing through themes of otherness, systemic corruption, and trans identity with razor-sharp precision.A Chinese Medicine show is more than just a performance - it’s a full-throttle experience. With an electrifying stage presence and an unshakable punk ethos, they command attention no matter where they fall on the lineup. More than anything, they are dedicated to fostering a space that is as fierce as it is inclusive, ensuring that whether on stage, online, or in the crowd, their community always has a place to scream, thrash, and belong.

Lacerator
Punk Metal
Lacerator was formed in 2017 by vocalist Gavin Beaulieu, drummer Eric Grovestine, and guitarist Ben Nickerson in their high school music class. Later that year, Lacerator added guitarist Michael Nobrega, while bassist Zak Wurtz joined the band in 2019. Over the past seven years, Lacerator has become a regular fixture in the Edmonton underground metal and hardcore scene, taking pride in their high-energy live shows.
Lacerator’s sound has been influenced by artists ranging from classic thrash and death metal to hardcore punk to anything and everything under the rock umbrella. In particular, Lacerator would cite Motörhead, Death, Sodom, Lamb of God, Rage Against the Machine, and the Dead Kennedys as significant influences on their sound.
After releasing two EPs, Lacerator will soon be unleashing their debut full-length album, “Tyrants of the New Age,” in early 2024.

With themes of desperation, violation, and the unrelenting resolve to survive, Truster's sound comes from a heavy place. This three piece plays crushing doomgaze that is influenced in equal parts by the absurdity of trauma, weaponized resilience, and love. Blending wall of
sound, down tuned guitars, heavy, churning drums and boundless vocals that are
desperate to cut through the haze, Truster’s sound incorporates elements of doom, black metal, and shoegaze.
