Description
Indie Film Community Showcase:
The Indie Film Community Showcase on May 9, 2026, 1:30 PM - 4:30 PM, is an engaging afternoon of local cinema that will feature 5 short film screenings from Mississauga filmmakers. Building on the success of the Indie Filmmaker Showcase on March 7, 2026, this second showcase offers a more relaxed, community-driven atmosphere focused on connection, collaboration, and discovery.
The program will feature a selection of short films by local filmmakers, including The First Day (Ayman Ashebi), The Flower At The End Of The World (Soma Narayanan), It Happens To Us (Anubhav Singh), Thin Walls (Robert Armanyous), and Boutique (Carroll Chiramel). Alongside the screenings, filmmakers will share insights from their production experiences, sparking conversations and opening the door to future creative partnerships.
Sponsored by TD Bank Group and presented by Mississauga Arts Council, Indie Film Community Showcase is designed as a space for filmmakers to meet, exchange ideas, and build relationships. This showcase aims to strengthen the local film community and explore opportunities for making these gatherings a regular and valuable part of the creative landscape.
