Leonid Ptashka is a well-known Russian Jazzman, pianist and composer, who graduated from Moscow
Gnessin Institute, and a teacher at the leading music academies. At the age of 14 he started to perform
on the professional scene. Since then, he has been successfully performing on the major venues around
the world with solo piano programs as well as with the renowned musicians: Larry Porter, Benny
Carter, Joan Brekin, Tom Lee, James Newton, Edd Tickepen, Al Foster, Dusco Goikovich, Freddie
Hubbard, Herb Alpert, and others. Leonid Ptashka plays with powerful intensity, sophisticated technique
and remarkable sensitivity. He constantly innovates and renews his repertoire and plying style.

Taking jazz into the world of ethnic jazz and improvisation of traditional main-stream, Ptashka has
established himself as a virtuoso instrumentalist, a brilliant performer, and an artist who passionately
committed to his music. Through the years of combining acoustic piano, and electronic keyboard
instruments, he has established and developed his own unique and impressive playing technique.

Each show introduces to the public the broadest possible spectrum, from New Orleans jazz to the ethnic
streams from all over the world: USA, Russia, Europe, and Israel.
