Sean Croal is an upright and electric bassist, composer, bandleader, and educator based out of Edmonton. At a young age Sean left Canada to study and perform in Doha, Qatar.  Sean has established himself as an in-demand sideman, playing alongside the likes of PJ Perry, Jim Head, and Tim Tamashiro. Sean leads his own ensemble whose performances take an eclectic and genre crossing approach to the jazz trio, incorporating baroque, groove, and hard-bop. This trio featuring Gareth Gilliland on Guitar, and Biboye Onanuga on drum kit has been sharing the stage weekly for over two years here in Edmonton, and has traveled as far as Helsinki playing music together.
