Six cult-following death metal bands with insabe fanbases all on one bill! These bands rarely/ never play in Toronto (or North America).   Obvurt are a technical death metal trio from Quebec City known for frontman Philippe Drouin's unique "ambidextrous" custom guitar and playing style. They are signed to Unique Leader Records.   Sedimentum started back in 2018 when a group of friends wanted to play grimy death metal got together in the extreme coldness of Quebec City, Canada. The band released a four-song home recorded critically acclaimed demo on Bandcamp in 2019 and quickly gained attention from record labels all around the world.   DIETH is a death and thrash metal band founded in Gdańsk, Poland. The band features Guilherme Miranda (guitar/vocals, ex-Entombed A.D.), Michał Łysejko (drums, ex-Decapitated), and David Ellefson (bass, ex-Megadeth). They have released several albums and EPs, including "To Hell and Back" (2023).    Ripped to Shreds Ripped to Shreds is an American death metal band from San Jose, California. Formed in 2016, the band writes songs focusing on Chinese folklore, history, and wuxia. The band is influenced by their experiences as Asian-Americans and American-born Chinese.   Putrid Pile is perhaps the most infamous one-man project in all of death metal. The man in question, Shaun Lanne, will bludgeon you with some of the brutalest riffs known to man.   Cancer are perhaps the ultimate pioneers of European brutal death metal. Since 1987, they have built an empire, moved geographically from the UK to Spain, and have preserved multiple break ups and lineup changes. Their first album since 2018, "Inverted World", releases April 25th.
