St. Stephen’s - A band with sweet guitar licks, soaring harmonies and finely crafted songs. Influences range from Buffalo Springfield-era sixties folk-rock to 70's rock n' roll with Britpop undertones. They have 2 drummers and multiple singers-songwriters.
The name is not a religious reference, but has been a constant presence for the band since it formed. Their weekly song-crafting sessions are a musical communion of sorts, and have taken place across the street from a century old church and cemetery yard in Chelsea, Quebec. The “cemetery gates” and “St Stephen’s” also evoke the musical legacies of The Smiths and Grateful Dead. St Stephen’s has been an anchor for the band - it's the church they don't attend on a weekly basis.
St. Stephen's are a five-piece, Ottawa-Chelsea Quebec, Canada based band formed in the fall of 2012. Formerly known as

THE STORY OF "ALL WE ARE"
The Flats formed in 2007 as a six piece. Given the evolution of their sound, changes to the line-up, as well as the confusing fact that there were several North American bands called "The Flats", the band felt that the name no longer reflected who they were. They became St. Stephen's.
