Description
“The Crawlers” is a charity rock showcase dedicated to highlighting Toronto’s women-
and queer-fronted bands. All proceeds from this event’s charity raffle will be donated to
Covenant House, an organization that supports at-risk youth in the Toronto area. The
goal of the event is to create an inclusive space where both musicians and
attendees—particularly those historically underrepresented in the rock genre—can
shine, connect, and build community.
This event is made possible through the generous support of Metalworks Institute, CIUT
89.5 FM, Sonic Boom, Steve’s Music, Kops Records, and Women in Music Canada.
These organizations have contributed incredible prizes, including gift cards, live radio
airtime, and exclusive memberships. Prizes will be raffled off throughout the night, with
all proceeds benefiting Covenant House.

Kicksie
Kicksie
Rock
“Kicksie” is a project fronted by 24 year old Giuliana Mormile(she/they).
It began with rapid fire Bandcamp uploads in early 2017. Since then, their warm,
incisive brand of electro-tinged emo pop has evolved and blossomed while still
orbiting around Giulianaʼs base layers of brazen honesty and melodic magic
tricks. Giulianaʼs also been self-recording each release via her home studio.
Bedhead Records, emerging each time having yet again pivoted Kicksie's sound
into fresh territory. August 2020 saw the release of “All My Friends”, Kicksieʼs
fourth full length album, which saw Giuliana intertwine her melodic charms with
past dreams of joining the ranks of 2000s radio punks. A summer sleeper hit, the
album was reissued by buzzing U.S. label Get Better Records and Ontarioʼs
Blacktop Records.

Rock
Through a mix of metal riffs, emo rock, and melodic vocals, front
woman Lauren Pryce summons her band of monsters to create a sonic
experience like none other. MONSTROSA is an alternative metal artist from
Toronto, Canada. Their lyrics unapologetically touch on women empowerment,
queer liberation, and mental health stigma. They have released two albums and
have played across and around Toronto, where their electric live show became a
staple to their name. Monstrosa is currently tracking their new EP which
promises to be the heaviest yet

Ace of Wands
Ace of Wands
Rock
Ace of Wands is one of Toronto's most creative and captivating
bands. Evoking the art-rock of PJ Harvey, the orchestral-pop of Kate Bush, and
alt-rock fuzz of Nirvana, Ace of Wands creates a fantastical and immersive world
of yearning, dread, euphoria, and insight. Known for their explosive and
charismatic live performances, astonishing musicianship, and gothic-rock
aesthetics. With lead vocalist Lee Rose alternating between violin and guitar,
while simultaneously playing synth-bass foot pedals, joined by Anna Mernieks on
guitar and Jody Brumell on drums — together, Ace of Wands defines the essence
of Dream Rock

Aniqa Dear
Aniqa Dear
Rock
aniqa dear is a Toronto-based experimental art pop project rooted in queerness, diasporic identity, grief, and the eternal interplay between belonging and isolation. aniqa dear weaves her intricate melodic sensibilities with ever-shifting synth-infused textures and polyrhythms, resulting in danceable music interlaced with stark vulnerability. Her music is striking and heady, incisive and heavy. She asks intently if you have ever danced into your own abyss, and she invites you in.
