It’s been 25 years since the release of Teenage Dirtbag, and somehow Wheatus’ now-iconic debut single is bigger than ever. To celebrate this milestone, the band will return to the UK and Ireland in November and December 2025, performing their entire debut album each night.
The past few years have been a whirlwind for Wheatus. In 2022, Teenage Dirtbag became the cornerstone of a massive TikTok trend, with nearly a million people — including Madonna, Lady Gaga, Mark Ruffalo, Lil Nas X, Jon Bon Jovi, and Chevy Chase — joining in. The hashtag #teenagedirtbag has now been viewed over 2 billion times worldwide. In 2023, the song even re-entered the UK Top 40.
This renewed wave of love for the 25-year-old anthem has seen the band performing on some of the biggest stages of their career, sharing lineups with Alice Cooper, Blondie, Busted, Everclear, Hoobastank, Living Colour, Phantom Planet, The Wallflowers, Jimmy Eat World, Dashboard Confessional, The 1975, Muse, Jack White, Blink-182, Paramore, and Coheed & Cambria. Their 2023 UK and Ireland tour spanned 47 nearly sold-out shows, and in 2024 they played Download Festival to over 20,000 fans.
Frontman Brendan B Brown also completed his “Dirtbags Across America” acoustic tour, performing in 49 of 50 states (Alaska — still pending). Most recently, Wheatus toured the USA and UK with their longtime friends Bowling For Soup, performing to some of the largest crowds in both bands’ careers. The final night of their upcoming tour will be a special show at London’s OVO Wembley Arena with Bowling For Soup and Punk Rock Factory — a perfect way to cap off an incredible year.
After their 2020 plans were derailed by the pandemic, Wheatus are dedicating 2025 to celebrating the anniversary of the debut album that changed everything. Alongside performing it in full each night, they’ll take fan requests from across their three-decade career — a beloved tradition at their headline shows for nearly 20 years.
It’s a celebration not to be missed. See for yourself.
