Black Pontiac is a band born out of tension. Emerging from an underground scene they helped reshape in the wake of the pandemic, the Vancouver, BC quartet has been walking a careful line ever since; balancing grit and glam, youthful exuberance and anxious introspection, garage rock edge and indie-pop hooks. It’s a tightrope act where contradiction is the point. 

Their sound thrives in a push and pull drawn from the inspiration of acts such as Cage the Elephant and The Hives, and with over 10 millions streams on Spotify, several tours, festival appearances, and support slots for acts like lovelytheband and Peach Pit under their belt, the band is poised to turn up the tension even higher with a new project coming in 2025.
