Kue Varo & The Only Hopes
Kue Varo & The Only Hopes
Indie Rock
Like a magic gramophone found during a stay at a desert compound, the dusk-tinged songs of Kue Varo & the Only Hopes are ethereal yet immediate, shrouded in mist but instantly distinct. After releasing Cowboy Witchcraft in late 2023, Kue Varo & The Only Hopes received critical acclaim via Exclaim! and George Stroumboulopoulos. They hit #1 on CKUA radio for multiple weeks, charted top 10 nationally with college and community radio and their song “Furthest Place” recently made top 40 on the Canadian Alternative Radio Charts for 5 consecutive weeks.

Hip-Hop/Rap
The Blue
The Blue
Hip-Hop/Rap
Introduced to hip-hop through rap giants The Fugees, Calgary rapper The Blue’s music reflects a fusion of this early influence and waves of new school. He and his band bring this sound to life in a high-energy performance.
The Blue’s 2022 album Things Could Be Worse delivered upbeat, soul-fueled beats, earning him a nomination for Rap Recording of the Year at the 2023 YYC Music Awards. Known for his captivating stage presence, he has shared stages with Shad, k-os, SonReal, Dragonette, Snak the Ripper, Down With Webster, Swollen Members, and more.
Beyond his solo work, The Blue is a dynamic live performer, pushing the boundaries of his artistry while elevating Calgary hip-hop across Canada. Whether in intimate venues or on festival stages, his performances leave a lasting impact.

Alternative Rock
Arts Major
Arts Major
Alternative Rock
Arts Major is a child of the pandemic and an old man of old men. Once ago we wrote about being in our 30's, and that was after writing songs about our 20's, but time marches forward and now it's 40's - how about you? Ani Difranco once said, “People used to make records, as in the record of an event, the event of people playing music in a room. Now everything is cross marketing. It's about sunglasses and shoes, or guns and drugs. You choose.” People playing music in a room, this is what resonates so clearly now some 25 years after Ani sang those words in a room. As seasoned players, friends, colleagues, comrades, activists, and allies, we see our place in the musical landscape as not a vector for fame or recognition, but much more simply, as a way to gather together in temporary community formations on a landscape that bears the sorrow of the displaced and murdered.

Electronic Pop
Dirty Eddy
Dirty Eddy
Electronic Pop
Dirty Eddy is a Montreal-based synth-pop artist known for blending synthesizers and drum machines with raw, high-energy performances. His music is a mix of nostalgia and fresh storytelling, delivering pop bangers with deep sonic textures that feel both familiar and brand new. On stage, Dirty Eddy turns performances into electric, communal experiences that leave audiences with a renewed lust for life.
Beyond his music, Eddy is a passionate supporter of the local arts community, hosting open mics and capturing the essence of Montreal’s emerging artists through his lens. With a love for imperfection and a DIY ethos, Dirty Eddy builds connections that celebrate creativity, collaboration, and self-expression.
