Description
Rock n Roll Triple Dip 2 hits The Dance Cave on September 20 for one final, glorious sendoff to summer.
Celebrate the release of Mensa Dropouts’ debut EP, Nuclear Slush Breaker, as the band brings their off-kilter mix of infectious hooks, razor-sharp musicianship, and beautifully unhinged energy to the stage. Joining them are Gaijin Smash, delivering their trademark high-voltage dance punk, and Baby’s First Pistol, whose self-described Fathercore collides dance-punk, post-punk, rap rock, industrial, and post-hardcore disco into one relentless live experience.
Three bands. Three wildly different flavours of chaos... one unforgettable night.
Come and celebrate the release of Nuclear Slush Breaker, pick up a copy of the EP, and help us close out the summer the best way we know how. Loud, sweaty, and surrounded by friends.

Mensa Dropout is a Toronto-based DIY grunge punk supergroup featuring members of USS, Walk Off The Earth, Econoline Crush, The Birthday Massacre, and A Primitive Evolution.
Originally formed in 2004, the band recorded an EP on a $40 boombox before eventually losing lead singer Ash Buchholz to his stratospheric ascension up the radio charts with his Canadian Alternative Rock band USS. The band re-emerged in 2016, this time with Steph Seki (Econoline Crush/A Primitive Evolution) on bass and Tokyo Speirs on drums, and they created a second debut EP using three microphones and a broken laptop. Sadly, before its release, drummer Tokyo was recruited to join global sensation Walk of The Earth, leaving yet another EP unreleased.
That is, until, in 2024, a message from YouTube fingerboarding phenomenon SkatepunxFB, who was seeking a soundtrack for a new video, sparked a resurrection. The band reunited, this time with renowned lead guitarist Brett Carruthers (Econoline Crush/ Birthday Massacre/ A Primitive Evolution) and released their debut track “Disconnection” in 2025 and are finally unveiling their long-awaited EP “Nuclear Slush Breaker” on September 20th, 2026, proving it’s never too late for dropouts to drop back in.
Mensa Dropouts' primary goal is to sonically marry hyperdynamic melody with uninhibited joy and terrifying beauty to prove to themselves (and the world) that it's never too late for dropouts to drop back in.

Gaijin Smash
Alternative
Gaijin Smash is a Toronto-based dance-punk trio blending Japanese and English lyrics with distorted bass guitar, relentless rhythms, and chaotic sonic momentum. Known for their fast, lo-fi anti-pop bangers and a drummer rumoured to once live inside a Commodore 64, the band has built a reputation for explosive live shows and genre-defying energy.
Since forming in 2019, Gaijin Smash has toured Japan and Canada, shared stages with TsuShiMaMiRe, DVTR, and Cross Dog, and performed at festivals including Exclaim! Class of 2025, Canadian Music Week, Music Waste, BitchFest, and the London Punk Rock Flea Market. Their music has also received support from Exclaim!, Unite Asia, and NPR’s WBFO.

Baby's First Pistol

Baby’s First Pistol blends dance-punk, post-punk, rap rock, and industrial into a collision of rigid rhythms, aggressive minimalism, and confrontational hooks, creating the nihilistic post-hardcore disco they call Fathercore. With dark humour and biting satire, the band explores social decline, modern absurdity, consumer culture, institutional control, masculinity, and ideological decay.
Their live show is a controlled explosion of relentless energy and precision, delivering arena-sized chaos on stages of every size. For fans of IDLES, 3TEETH, Ministry, KMFDM, Viagra Boys, and Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs.
